IMPROVISED SPLINTING, PACKAGING, & EVACUATION: Participants will practice utilizing improvised and specialized rescue equipment to splint, stabilize and transport trauma victims. Howard Donner, MD

FRACTURE & DISLOCATION MANAGEMENT: Learn how to recognize, reduce and splint fractures and dislocations in the backcountry. Joseph B. Serra, MD

WHO SHOULD NOT GO TO ALTITUDE?: HIGH ALTITUDE AND COMMON MEDICAL CONDITIONS: A more detailed look at the ramifications of travel at altitude for patients with coronary artery disease, asthma, pregnancy, hypertension, COPD, Diabetes and other underlying medical conditions. Peter Hackett, MD

SURVIVAL STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD: For over 30 years, Navy Seal and survival instructor, Gary Kibbee, has been responding to, and training others to respond to medical and rescue emergencies. SKI & SNOW BOARDING INJURIES: Learn the latest techniques for preventing, recognizing and treating the most common injuries associated with skiing and snow boarding. Lanny Johnson, FNP/PA

SURVIVAL STRATEGIES FOR THE ADVENTURE TRAVELER: How to protect
yourself and stay safe while traveling. Learn what to do if you’re caught in a fire, disaster, or hijacked airplane, and what precautions to take when you’re away from home. Philip White

EYEWEAR & CARE: WILDERNESS OPHTHALMOLOGY: This presentation discusses eye protection and several commonly encountered eye disorders with a diagnostic and therapeutic approach suitable for the wilderness environment. Howard Donner, MD
