Director, Harvard Humanitarian Initiative; Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Mass General; Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School.  In addition to work in Somalia, Bosnia, Sudan, Iraq, North Korea, and many other countries, Dr. VanRooyen has worked as a physician in several emergencies in the US, including the 9/11 World Trade Center Attack, Hurricane Katrina, and the Boston Marathon Bombings.

Eric Larsen

Renowned polar explorer, expedition guide, and activist.  Eric has completed more North and South Pole expeditions than any other American in history and holds a world record expedition to the South Pole, North Pole, and top of Mt. Everest all within a 365-day period.  Eric masterfully weaves insights about resilience (including his personal battle with cancer), compassion, and the profound connection between humanity and the planet's most remote landscapes.

Todd Clevenger, MD

Board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who specializes in knee, shoulder, and hip surgery as well as hip arthroscopy procedures. Dr. Clevenger was a member of the US National Rafting Team that finished 2nd in the World Championships. He is a class V kayaker, avid backcountry skier, and expert at fly-fishing.
